Photoshoot – Gothic tea Party

Hi there,

So here is a sample of what I shot last week, the theme was a gothic tea party but in an unusual location.  The idea was to take something that was ordinary to me (gothic subculture and corsets) and put it into places that are not ordinary to the idea.

This work will be used for my degree show final project (exhibitions in Kingston Upon Thames and London), below is the text that is going with the work.

My work explores the relationship between what it is like to be a goth and how people outside of the subculture view those within it.

Combining documentary photography and fashion photography I look into how the subculture works from an insider perspective and try to show those outside the beauty which they may not have realised is within
